Ik vond da der een stand-up comedy topic moest zijn, so here it is.

Wie zijn jullie favorieten? Enige aanraders?

Ik zal beginnen me een grote naam, wijlen George Carlin, nogal bekend omwille van zijn kritische houding tegenover geloof en politiek.
- over abortus en pro-lifers
- over de 10 geboden
- over het redden van de planeet
- over een aantal woorden die ge ni moogt zeggen op de TV

Ik volg de Glenn hierin, tbh ^^ Carlin is leuk om naar te kijken, maar ik ga er niet strijk van. Neemt niet weg dat het één van de briljantere maatschappelijke geesten is van de 20e eeuw ^^

Bill Maher! Wordt vaak vergeleken me George Carlin, wss omda hij ook nogal cynisch is (een van zijn shows heet dan ook Be More Cynical), onder andere als het op geloof aankomt (Be more cynical about religion) of over drugsbeleid (illegaliteit van marihuana, terwijl degene die zo hard voor da beleid vechten keizwaar aan de oxyconton zitten). Hij is nogal tegen het healthcaresysteem in de US (ze maken winst mensen te genezen, die ziek zijn gemaakt door consumptie van eten en drinken die grote bedrijven opdringen aan het publiek). In tegenstelling tot Carlin (die zelf beweert niet te stemmen), heeft hij dus ook wel sterke politieke meningen, zoals over de verrechtsing van de democraten.
